Commesso
Commesso, also referred to as Florentine mosaic, an Italian art form developed during the Renaissance, involves the meticulous assembly of thin, precisely cut pieces of semi-precious stones to create intricate, mosaic-like images, often used to decorate furniture, walls, and religious artifacts with stunning detail and vibrant color.
