Strakonice castle

Originally founded in the 13th century by the Bavor family, it served as a strategic fortress and later as a residence. The castle complex showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements, reflecting its long history and various reconstructions.

Round Tower (Rumpál) offers panoramic views, the Church of St. Prokop, and various courtyards and halls house the Museum of Central Otava Region.
